Financial Aid

Besant Hill School is committed to working with applicants to make our unique school affordable to a wide range of socio-economically diverse families. Awards are calculated based upon the information provided through the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) system, the expected cost of attendance and estimated family contribution for the upcoming academic year. All financial aid awards are grants that do not need to be repaid and are made possible through the generous support of school alumni, parents, and friends. This year, over $500,000 was awarded to nearly one-fifth of the student population.

Continuing Financial Aid

Families granted an award in their first year can plan to be granted a similar award in subsequent years provided there has not been a dramatic change (10% or more) in income or assets, and the supporting documents are submitted by the required deadline. Financial assistance may be modified or canceled at any time due to lack of satisfactory academic performance, changes in enrollment, violation of major school rules, residency, eligibility, and available funds.

Financial Aid Process & Deadlines

We are a member of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) which assists schools in making financial aid decisions. Families can complete the application here. All financial aid information and awards are kept confidential.

To be considered for financial aid, all sources of employment income must be verified by a United States tax return.
